We have a wonderful opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team at Bloodworks Northwest. This role will be involved throughout the system development lifecycle, and will work as an advocate for the end users in the design and implementation of new or upgraded technology solutions. The incumbent will have thorough knowledge of information systems in order to provide customers with tools to improve performance, remove waste, meet goals, and align business processes with critical business strategies. There is career progression from I, II, and Senior levels.

Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Identify, analyze, document and prioritize business needs of the customer.
* Work with customers to understand as-is and to-be business process flows and requirements.
* Provide guidance in the preparation of high quality, concise, complete documentation of end user requirements.
* Quantify business impacts and anticipated project benefits.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelors degree with two years relevant experience including software systems and business analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Business Analysis certification desirable.

The successful candidate will be placed in either the Business Systems Analyst I or II role depending upon education and experience.

Specific job skills include, but are not limited to:

* Proven experience in meeting deadlines, producing results and prioritizing workload.
* Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and use those skills to effectively bridge the gap between the customer and IT.
* Possess analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
* Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and produce results.
* Strong understanding of systems development life-cycle.
* Ability to learn and understand specific business operations and needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Travel between Bloodworks locations within the Puget Sound area as required.
* Travel within the Bloodworks service area to locations outside of the Puget Sound area may be an occasional requirement.
* Telecommuting ability is a frequent condition of this role.
* May occasionally be required to work extended hours to support project or operational requirements.
* Requires the ability to work scheduled holidays and weekends.
* This position has indirect exposure to blood borne pathogens.
* Telecommuting is a frequent condition of this role.
* Bloodworks is a community supported non-profit organization. As such, from time-to-time incumbent can expect to work with volunteers.
