This job contributes to Starbucks success by providing dedicated administrative support of a confidential and complex nature to one or more executives. Handles confidential and non-routine information. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in making decisions and carries out activities following general guidelines. Demonstrates the ability to perform effectively with limited direction. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

This role will provide dedicated support to the vp and directors within the Marketing Operations team, who help to lead one our largest businesses within the company.

* Provides administrative support including effectively planning and maintaining executive calendar with attention to accuracy, detail and allocation of time and resources to promote productivity and successful execution of executive and team goals and objectives
* Plans and organizes annual team meetings for the Marketing team
* As needed, will support scheduling of travel
* Serves as a point of contact for the business unit or department. Answers questions, directs requests to appropriate partners and escorts visitors.
* Actively engages with administrative team within function to share best practices, cascade communications and develop open communication paths

Basic Qualifications

* Education (minimum education level, degree or certification necessary):

o High School diploma/GED or 4 or more years of US military service 3 or more years of experience in a role performing administrative assistant or coordinator job functions

Skills (minimum skills required):

o Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

o Demonstrates confidence, composure and professionalism

o Demonstrated problem-solving skills

o Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects, meet deadlines and follow through on commitments

o Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with attention to detail

o Self-starter and ability to work independently as well as on a team

o Ability to deliver consistently high quality and professional customer service to both internal and external customers

o Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

o Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

o Demonstrates an aptitude for learning new concepts on the job

o Knowledge of general office administration, procedures and equipment

o Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills (minimum needed to be qualified):

o Progressive administrative experience 3-6 yrs

o Providing support to executive level management or equivalent 3-6 yrs

o Fast-paced environment 3-6 yrs
