The Washington Athletic Club is currently seeking a new Assistant Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations in our club shop, which includes a coffee stand, retail, novelty and clothing merchandise.

This position is primarily responsible for:

o Supervising daily retail operations.
o Scheduling, coaching and evaluating of team members.
o Assisting the retail manager in daily accounting and budgeting matters, including inventory and payroll.
o Assisting the retail manager in merchandising and buying for the shop.
o Conflict resolution with both customers and employees.

A qualified candidate will possess:

o At least 2 years of retail management experience and/or at least 3 years of lead or supervisory experience.
o At least 1 year of experience in merchandising, buying, and inventory.
o Experience in an athletic sales environment is preferred.
o Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized at all times.
o Capability to provide a high level of customer service in a professional and friendly manner.
