Assistant Store Manager

Job Description:

The Assistant Store Manager works closely with the Store Manager and is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the gallery, assumes responsibility for the gallery in the Manager's absence, participates in the implementation of store policies and procedures, strives to reach sales and payroll budget goals, and works to train, develop, and coach all team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Welcome every customer that enters the gallery.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Master product knowledge including artist's background, techniques and materials, communicate selling features, benefits, values of gallery merchandise. Tell the Fireworks Gallery story.
  • Resolve customer service opportunities with professionalism and in a timely manner .
  • Lead by example on the sales floor and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all gallery opening and closing duties are performed accurately, timely, and according to

Fireworks standards.

  • Maintain gallery cleanliness and follow visual merchandising standards.
  • Oversee price changes and mark downs and ensure they are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
  • Execute, achieve and exceed the goals of the gallery.
  • Accurately execute operational tasks such as ringing sales, receiving stock, shipping merchandise and maintaining the look of the gallery.
  • Engage in Loss Prevention through excellent customer service, gallery awareness, and accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Handle difficult situations with professionalism and respect for all involved.
  • Delegate tasks to Key Holders and the sales team.
  • Train, develop, and coach all team members.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of all new candidates.
  • Assume responsibility of gallery in Store Manager's absence.
  • Participate in special store functions as directed by the management team; such as floor sets, store meetings and physical inventory.
  • Monitor receiving of new stock and daily transfers.
  • Partner with Store Manager and Home Office to schedule gallery maintenance and repairs.
  • Partner with Store Manager for all gallery supply needs.
  • Work with the mall management concerning individual store operations and concerns; attends mall management meetings.
  • Work on special projects and tasks as assigned by Store Manager.
  • Has a positive attitude and works well in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Retail or customer service experience required.
  • 1-3 years of management experience required.
  • Detailed oriented and ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to multi task and complete projects efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to delegate and provide assistance and coaching when necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
  • Microsoft Windows proficiency.
  • Contemporary sense of style and culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
