Job Description:
Skyline at First Hill is looking for an Associate Executive Director to help our community create unlimited possibilities in the lives of older adults and our team members. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Executive Director is responsible for fostering a dynamic organizational culture and strengthening our programs and impact in our community. The Associate Executive Director will work alongside the Executive Director and senior leadership team to secure the knowledge and experience to serve as an Executive Director for another Transforming Age senior living community.
Skyline is a growing Transforming Age community nestled in the heart of Seattle, WA. This is a rare opportunity to serve as the Associate Executive Director of an upscale, boutique style CCRC that offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support and Skilled Nursing Care.

Principle Responsibilities:
To perform this new and critical position successfully, the Associate Executive Director must be able to fulfill all of the elements of the job description to the highest standard, and be able to work well with colleagues in a high energy and collaborative work environment. All employees are expected to contribute to ongoing growth and improvement in their departments via excellent job performance and proactive communication. Each team member and department is integral to the Skyline's mission.
Assist the Executive Director with their daily operations activities
Collaborate with department directors to achieve occupancy goals
Support the development of strategic marketing initiatives to foster resident referrals and develop new resident acquisitions
Set and achieve community-based revenue goals with the help of the Executive Director and other senior leaders
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Knowledge of senior living community development as well as state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the senior living industry.
Must have experience working with long term care, assisted living, and retirement communities, and experience with budgets and capital improvement projects.
Proven track record of effectively leading a direct service organization with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage staff strengths across program areas.
Strong management and decision-making skills including the ability to influence, engage, and lead others to new levels of effectiveness and programmatic impact.
Strong emotional intelligence and ability to coach, mentor, relate and listen
Demonstrated ability to be an analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills
Experience interfacing with senior management, organizational Board of Directors, staff, and external stakeholders on various metrics and policies
Knowledge of program evaluation, specifically within nonprofit evaluation methods and tactics.
Superior project management, organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office tools, Google applications, and database systems.
Ability to provide sensitivity to diverse issues arising within our multicultural environment
Spanish language skills strongly preferred.
Self-motivated, results driven, detail oriented, and adaptable.
Able to exercise good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
Must submit to and successfully pass a criminal history background check.
Ability to relocate anywhere within the United States at a Transforming Age Community.
Education/Equivalent Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
