Position Summary:
Under general direction of Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Associate Recruiter will develop and and implement effective staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the Company. The Recruiter works closely with Hiring Managers, Supervisors and the HR team, and requires a high level of independent judgment, excellent customer service, and the processing of confidential data.
This position is open for remote work, provided the employee can be on-site at our central lab in Tukwila, WA as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with the Recruitment and Onboarding of new employees.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Maintains company applicant tracking system and job website.
- Develops employment advertisements, determine ad placement and schedule in appropriate media to post external advertisements.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules and performs interviews with candidates, both evaluating candidates and communicating company information and benefits.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Performs pre-onboarding details.
- Presents and negotiates candidate offers.
- Organizes logistics and participants for a positive and engaging new hire onboarding program.
- Builds relationships with technical programs, schools and other groups.
- Assist department with ongoing projects as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with related experience preferred.
- Prior recruiting experience required.
- Prior experience with HRIS/ATS required. Paycom preferred.
- Experience in medical organization, laboratory or hospital setting strongly preferred.
