Job description

Ada Developers Academy is a non-profit, tuition-free coding school for women and gender expansive adults. We focus on serving Black, Latine, Indigenous, and Pacific Islander communities, low income people, and members of the LGBTQIA community. Our program consists of two highly immersive parts: six months of focused instruction, and five months of internship at partner companies, where students refine their skills working on real-world code.

About this position

Recently recognized as a $10M recipient in the Equality Can't Wait Challenge, Ada Developers Academy is poised for national expansion. We are seeking a high-energy, highly motivated, and goals-driven Business Development Manager who is passionate about the Ada mission. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working remotely and will be responsible for driving revenue and partnerships by initiating and developing our corporate relationships that allow Ada to grow, scale, and change lives. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), with a base salary of $70,000 annually (DOE), and a total compensation opportunity of $120,000 with commission, plus excellent benefits.

Core responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed revenue objectives by building and maintaining a deep sales pipeline of both new and existing partnerships with an emphasis on recurring business

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and drive the development and closing of sales proposals

  • Propose, deliver, and manage Program Agreements from start to finish, working with stakeholders as necessary

  • Maintain and build rapport with client stakeholders to develop strong, long-term relationships that align with the Ada mission

  • Effectively partner and work across the client support teams to ensure a seamless experience for new accounts and sales

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Ada's offerings and how Ada can partner best with our clients on an ongoing basis

Essential qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years proven success in a B2B Business Development or Inside Sales role

  • Genuine interest in Ada's mission to advance women in tech roles

  • Confidence in presenting to and selling in both 1:1 and 1:many situations

  • Drive, grit, team-oriented - strong desire to reach goals and win

  • Highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, activities, and deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills - including written, verbal, presentation

  • Entrepreneurial drive-you thrive being part of a small team and enjoy rapidly iterating on strategy and tactics that can unlock opportunities to get the job done

  • Experience in the field of recruiting is preferred but not required
