Business Development Representative - All Star Directories

All Star is looking for a self-motivated, success-driven Business Development Representative with B2B experience. You'll help add new customers to our established portfolio of secondary education institutions, and in doing so you'll help students looking to find, advance, and change careers connect with the right school. In supporting the Business Development Manager, your goal is to assist in closing new business by prospecting, cold calling, providing budget forecasting and scheduling first meetings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for potential customers
  • Identify decision makers and establish communication
  • Generate interest in All Star's line of products through outbound calls, emails, and messages
  • Develop relationships with prospective partners at all levels
  • Support the Business Development team with accurate forecasting
  • Record and complete information in Salesforce
  • Ensure follow-through by promptly passing scheduled meetings onto the Business Development Manager
  • Manage inbound customer inquiries by converting them into meetings

Essential skills and qualities:

  • 1+ year of B2B Sales experience
  • 1+ year experience in results-oriented sales, including cold calling
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Confident and able to overcome objections and hesitation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills-you're the point person
  • Strong approachability skills, and an ability to connect with decision makers
  • Self-motivated and success-driven; competitive nature
  • Highly-organized with attention to detail
  • Work with a sense of accountability, celebration, expertise and service
  • Four-year college degree required; business degree preferred
  • Experience working in online lead generation a plus
  • Experience working with Salesforce a plus
