Summary

Acts as a liaison between the business units and the Data Management Services team (DMS) developers in supporting business data needs, managing data management projects, assuring data quality, and supporting DMS daily operations.


Length: Contract-to-Hire

Role & Responsibilities

  • Acts as primary contact between DMS and all business areas to review, analyze, document business requirements for data management projects.
  • Defines and documents ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) application requirements for new applications and application enhancements.
  • Documents requirements for data integration, import, extract, reports applications including business process workflow and data flow documentation.
  • Develops and documents user manuals and tip sheets as required.
  • Triages and troubleshoots production issues related to DMS data processing.
  • Tests the validity of ETL applications against business processes.
  • Manages user acceptance test (UAT) with affected business areas to verify content and quality of deliverables.
  • Assists business users in understanding DMS managed data.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in healthcare, preferably in the Health Plan business processes. Strong alternative experience will be considered.
  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in business or systems analysis in a data warehousing and other data management settings.
  • Experience creating user stories or use cases to define business needs and support ETL application development.
  • Experience documenting process and data flows.
  • Ability to create process documentation to include process flow charts and written documentation.
  • Ability to read and write basic to moderate SQL statements.
  • Basic understanding of data modeling.
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing techniques is required.
  • Conceptual understanding of SSIS or other common ETL tools is required


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology preferred.
  • Experience in project management or project coordination.
  • Cloud-based data management experience desired.
