CORPORATE RELATIONS MANAGER
ABOUT THE POSITION: The Corporate Relations Manager is a key member of the Advancement Team positioning Compass Housing Alliance to meet its annual fundraising goals. This position has lead responsibilities for the creation and management of a well-coordinated strategic plan to identify, cultivate, solicit, and secure support from corporations. All responsibilities are conducted in a manner consistent with the spirit of the agency mission and its philosophy of care.

LOCATION: Remote, with weekly meetings at Compass on Dexter building in South Lake Union (Seattle, WA)
REPORTS TO: Director of Advancement
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday days with occasional evenings and weekends as needed
SALARY RANGE: $29,000-$39,000 per year (Part-Time 20 hours per week)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND
RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work closely with the Director of Advancement to create and execute corporate engagement strategies to meet financial goals in support of emergency services and housing programs.
* Manage all aspects of corporate and foundation engagement including proposal preparation and submission, stewardship, reporting, relationship management, site-visits, and presentations.
* Establish processes and best practices related to corporate and private foundation related grant activities.
* Identify corporate prospects and conduct research to determine interest and giving potential.
* Develop, manage and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for corporate sponsorships, including proposals and negotiation of marketing agreements.
* Develop, manage and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for corporate capital donations.
* Arrange, conduct and coordinate cultivation, stewardship and recognition activities such as on-site signage, recognition in publications and on-site visits for corporate sponsors and donors.
* Maintain accuracy of donor tracking systems and database for corporate constituents, while maintaining confidentiality of donor information.
* Maintain a strong understanding of Compass programs and services to accurately and persuasively share programmatic approach, efficacy and outcomes.
* Provide excellent customer service to all Advancement customers, including donors, volunteers, CHA staff, and contractors.

* Knowledge of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies and techniques, particularly in the area of corporate fundraising techniques.
* Demonstrated success building relationships and securing support from corporations preferably within the local King County area.
* Demonstrated knowledge of methods, practices and procedures for obtaining information about corporate giving programs.
* Fundraising knowledge including basic fundraising principles and techniques, regulations, laws, and licensing requirements.
* Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to navigate multiple projects.
* Excellent writing skills including the ability to be persuasive and informative.
* Exceptional people skills with the ability to be empathetic, responsive, resourceful, and relationship-oriented.

EDUCATION
AND/OR
EXPERIENCE
* Work experience is a key factor for success in this role. In addition, success in this role requires a passion for knowledge and drive for continuing professional development or education. A Bachelor's degree in non-profit management or related field such a marketing, communications, public relations, or business or equivalent professional development is seen as a compliment to the required experience.
* A minimum of 5-years' experience with progressive responsibility for fund development and/or corporate relationship management.
* Demonstrated record of success in generating significant commitments from corporations.
* Knowledge of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies and techniques, particularly in the area of corporate and foundation fundraising techniques.
* Demonstrated knowledge of methods, practices and procedures for obtaining information about corporate giving programs.
* Experience using nonprofit CRM database. Raiser's Edge experience, desired.
* Awareness and/or training around issues of equity, intersectionality, and belonging.
* Familiarity with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, desired.
* Valid WA driver's license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that meets Compass standards, required.

* Travel to program sites and meetings outside the office and around the county are necessary.
