Responsibilities: • Support the region and pursue of large data center opportunities to attract customers for their data center wholesale environment and product offerings. • Calling on established wholesale enterprise and hyperscale clients and prospecting for new accounts among various end users in industries for the high-profile wholesale data center in Richmond, VA. • Prepare proposals, conduct walk throughs, make presentations, and close deals. • Establish positive relationships with existing business partners in hopes to generate additional business. • Penetrate Industry verticals to establish new wholesale data center leads

Requirements: • 5-10 years of relevant wholesale data center sales contract/negotiation experience • 5-10 years of wholesale data center sales hunting experience • Knowledge of national/international data center real estate market • Business contacts with end users in the wholesale data center / IT industry - CIO, CTO, VP of IT, Director of Facilities, Director of Real Estate, Facilities Managers, etc. • Experience selling wholesale products (1+ megawatts) and data center services to the data center buyers' market and selling large data center spaces/services to the private and public sector • Belong to local professional organizations like AFCOM, 7x24 , Data center Dynamics , Uptime etc. is a plus • Must be a team player and be able to build long-term cooperative partner relationships with internal and external stakeholders who are part of the business development process. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize (doing the most important things first). • Must be able to demonstrate a sustained track record of wholesale business development accomplishments as related to new business opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work on multiple tasks with a variety of departments and team members • Strong negotiations skills and client management including selling and closing principles, and the assessment of decision makers and buyer influences for any individual prospect • Understanding and ability to qualify a prospect's needs for specific electrical power, telecommunication connectivity, and space as it relates to the meet me room (MMR) and the data center • Excellent communicator, confidently articulating complex analysis and solutions • Be a detail-oriented problem solver with a win-win attitude, working towards meaningful solutions • Experience working independently as well as a collaborator; effectively managing priorities while meeting hard deadlines • Ability to work cross-functionally with ease • Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Self-motivated initiative taker with relentless pursuit of new clients and prospects • Highest ethical and professional conduct and integrity • Familiarity with and/or experience using a CRM platform such as Salesforce Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate Management or Engineering is a plus • 5-10+ years of data center wholesale business development (Hunting)
