Lorien is looking for a Maintenance Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. We're looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems. You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!
The technician is responsible for maintenance and routine service. This candidate is expected to work closely with other teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities and demonstrate leadership on the team. This individual should possess strong analytical skills, be a self-starter, and work well independently.
Basic Qualifications
Mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical, software
Experience in installation of sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files
Able to perform precision work with hand tools
2 years experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software issues in industry or military
Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
Valid Driver's License and able to satisfy driver eligibility criteria
Willingness to travel up to 75% of the year.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Microsoft Office and Linux
Familiar with Python or other scripting languages
Experience creating CAD files based on loose specifications
Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communication skills
Able to work with minimal supervision and with ambiguity
Experience in aerospace or robotics
