Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Product Security Test Engineer to support the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation team. This position will be located in Seattle, Washington.

The selected applicant will be a key team member in program execution and evaluation support for cybersecurity test across enterprise with focus on product Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests. The primary responsibilities will be required as applied to embedded systems within fielded and future platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements, and sustains product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle
• Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
• Ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support
• Defines and identifies product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into Boeing products and services
• Coordinates with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems
• Conducts research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions
• Advises customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services
• Performs exploit analysis and development

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. On-site work will be at a minimum of 3 days per week.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 2+ years of experience executing penetration tests and/or vulnerability assessments on avionics
• 2+ years of experience identifying attack paths for an integrated systems environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science and/or cybersecurity
• 2+ years of experience executing and/or participating in Cyber Table Top exercises
• Experience working with non-ethernet networks (ARINC 429, CAN, RF, 1553, etc.)
• Experience coordinating and presentation technical content to a diverse audience
• Experience in participating on Incident Response events
• 3+ years of experience testing on avionics and/or embedded systems
• Experience with Model Based Engineering concepts
• Experience authoring playbooks and/or guides
• Experience with programming and/or scripting languages

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
