Doosan GridTech currently has an outstanding career opportunity for a Financial Analyst. Use your financial planning and analysis skills to support the Company's strategies, financial objectives and support the Project Delivery team to track project revenue and costs. Reporting to Chief Financial Officer, this position will be responsible for analyzing, developing and maintaining financial models, budgets and forecasts for our products and large Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, monthly analysis of financial results and providing decision making support.
We require outstanding quantitative and financial analysis skills, strong financial modelling experience, and the ability to drive continuous process improvement. Desired capabilities are a strong plus. Job responsibilities and qualifications follow.
Required
- Prior experience with tracking and analyzing project revenue and costs.
- Ability to work with wide range of projects including energy storage system installations, professional service engagements and software license and maintenance sales.
- Outstanding quantitative and financial analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in financial modelling, planning and analysis.
- Solid knowledge of corporate finance concepts including understanding accounting principles such as revenue recognition and financial statements.
- Ability to manage a wide spectrum of responsibilities and multiple projects independently or with limited oversight.
- Self-motivated, ability to think strategically, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
- Ability to support cross functional teams and departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong financial modelling experience.
Desired
- Past experience in corporate accounting a plus.
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Bilingual Korean preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Support Doosan GridTech leadership by building and maintaining complex financial models, budgets and analytic tools for measuring and forecasting company results and individual project performance.
- Perform financial analysis on cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, etc.
- Create, maintain, and track cash flow projections at project and company level
- Present accurate monthly performance reports and budget forecasts including cash flows to Chief Financial Officer and Finance Manager.
- Build relationships with other teams at Doosan GridTech to influence strategic decision making, long-range planning and forecasting.
- Drive continual process improvement of Company's financial planning; including analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual cycle.
- Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis.
- Actively seek ways to improve operational performance by reviewing financial trends and monthly expenses.
- Create ad hoc analysis as required.
Project Delivery Analysis
- Partner with Project Delivery Team, Finance and other stakeholders to maintain cost tracking models to produce timely and accurate reports and forecasts regarding project performance.
- Track and review project related revenue, costs and cash flow.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports and analysis for a diverse set of projects.
- Assist Finance Manager, Accounting/ Finance team to understand project financial performance.
- Assist Finance Manager with the annual budgeting and planning process by providing detail which supports the bottoms up analysis.
- Understand project scope, contract details, terms and tax requirements and apply that knowledge to billing, tracking and analysis of each project
- Assist Project Delivery and Finance in preparation of detailed customer invoices.
- Review project proposal to ensure they are in line with company requirements
Qualifications
- 2-3 years' demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis. Preferably in the construction or EPC industry.
- BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
- High proficiency with Excel and financial modeling techniques.
