SUMMARY

The Finance Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data and other operating information to assist the Datacenter Phsyical Security finance program to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, timelines and required specifications. This position will report into the Senior Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, and self-directed individual with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. This position will monitor progress against a yearly budget for North America and explore historical financial data to help develop recommendations. This role must sit in the Greater Seattle Area and come in to the office approximately 50% of the time. The office is located in Bellevue, WA.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Participates in development of the annual budget for North America; assists Senior Finance Manager in monitoring progress against financial and business objectives throughout the year.
  2. Responsible for international monthly invoicing; compares invoicing data to monthly forecasts and leads investigations on any discrepencies.
  3. Acts as a liaison between client and international field operations.
  4. Key hands-on role in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts and variance adjustments.
  5. Identify risks and opportunities to the business by understanding actual results and changes in the internal and external environment.
  6. Lead investigations into discrepencies and anticipate and solve issues before they are escalated.
  7. Oversees Aging Reports and Accounts Receivable for North America; researches outstanding invoices and drives to completion.
  8. Trains employees on timekeeping, expense report processing, and new engagement set up to comply with contract requirements.
  9. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and recommends changes to workflows and operating practices to improve efficiency.
  10. Conducts annual review of operational-related documents in partnership with stakeholders.
  11. Maintains a "customer service" approach to problem solving and works with client to find solutions to questions or concerns.
  12. At the direction of the Global Finance Manager, performs other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the Datacenter Physical Security program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.


MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting and five years of progressively responsible finance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Experience in accounting with strong financial analysis skills in an operations environment with multiple business lines.
  • Intermediate-level skill using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Centage a plus.


COMPETENCIES

  • Strong computer skills required with the use of various accounting databases and other financial tools. Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft family of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). PowerBI experience preferred.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Experience with activity-based costing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a wide variety of people including colleagues, clients, and representatives of other agencies.
  • Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and handle projects responsibly.
  • Strong customer service and results orientation.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in highly sensitive or volatile situations; maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Capably work under pressure while maintaining a professional image and approach with clients inside and outside Microsoft.
