The Global Operations Lead will oversee reporting operations and provide management reporting as a service to the business units and other stakeholders. These activities include but are not limited: Profit center, PODD, New business, and OIA reporting.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Team responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for the process design; participates in workshops to design and implement final solution. Provide approval and agreed upon standards for Reporting process areas.
2. Provide governance authority for any exceptions to standard process. Present exceptions to Project Manager to seek approval.
3. FPD's Management Reporting single point of contact. Engage business subject matter experts to provide input during workshop as well as collect required process details from line units as requested.
4. Work closely with project team to vet recommended automated solutions.
5. Monitor timeline and work closely with PMO team to ensure alignment and deadlines are met.
FPD Global Operations Lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Managing and owning all aspects of financial reporting: Profit center, PODD, New business, and OIA reporting.
2. Provide leadership, guidance, counsel, to support direct reports and all Reporting critical functions.
3. Responsible for process maps and standard operation procedures (SOP).
4. Manage risk and controls related to functional area.
5. Establish and monitor governance of FPD's global Reporting policy and process changes.
6. Establish a consistent / standard management reporting package for business unit stakeholders.
7. Provide overall team development and process leadership to the Reporting team.
8. Build, train, and manage Reporting staff.
9. Provide ad-hoc finance analysis for senior leadership.
10. Monitor the Reporting process and identify and manage issues.
11. Drive continuous improvement.
12. Be the face to the business/customer for functional area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Forward-thinking, innovative leader with deep knowledge of FPD's Management Reporting processes, reporting, tools, and technology
2. Financial accounting and reporting materiality
3. Internal reporting requirements and standard policies and procedures
4. US GAAP expertise, oversight, and compliance
5. Reporting complexity and accountability
6. Strong Oracle experience required.
7. Extensive experience with FPD's profit center, PODD, new business and OIA reporting processes.
8. Experienced in managing global teams and global processes with the ability to drive global vision
9. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action.
10. Customer service mindset
11. Ability to drive continuous improvement utilizing lean principles and customer satisfaction
12. Ability to drive operational excellence.
