Description
Job Summary
The HR Generalist (HRG) provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services agency-wide. The HRG will work closely with the HR Director and HR Manager in the department's mission of providing a wide variety of services to our employee staff population. The HRG will provide assistance and support to the employee staff at all locations, in the broad areas of Human Resources; helping to answer questions, find resolutions, and keep a general pulse on the agency morale. Additionally, the HRG will work closely with the HR Manager to provide administrative support to human resources functions and staff as needed (e.g. Recruitment, generating correspondence, record-keeping, policy development). Additionally, the HRG will maintain a working knowledge of relevant changes to current or existing employment law.
Job Functions (May Include):
* Maintains continuous and open communication with staff and leadership around the agency to stay up to date on current issues and concerns
* Provides consultations to Leadership on employee relations concerns, including investigations, terminations, and corrective action plans
* Provides touch bases with staff seeking assistance on any HR questions or concerns
* Owns the Employee Status Update and Monthly Agency HR reports to leadership
* Provide all staff communications, reminders, and updates as it relates to Agency policies, events, and recognition
* Facilitates monthly New Hire Orientations to ensure employees gain a consistent onboarding experience
* Provide ongoing training with Leadership as needed for things related to Human Resources
* In coordination with the HR Manager, HRG will work to write, revise, edit and proofread company policies and procedures and related documents as needed
* Maintain awareness of local, state, and federal employment law changes and updates that affect the agency
* Active partner for HR Recruiters, monitors Paylocity Onboarding and Recruiting modules, in addition to Indeed budget
* Assist the Benefits Administrator with maintaining up-to-date employee leave information (FMLA, PFML, etc.)
* Work with the Workplace Safety Officer to consult on L&I cases
* Maintain Employment Law posters at all clinic sites and on SharePoint
* Provide backup support to HR Assistant for compliance reports, audit management, and HRIS Personnel File maintenance
* Act as the primary resource for Job Description audits and maintenance
The HR Generalist will support the entire ETS agency, all Clinic Services, and REACH locations and will require in office work. The nature of this position is fast-paced, involving regular interaction with employees and vendors, requiring exceptional multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
Education
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development or equivalent. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certificate preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
* Strong understanding of state and federal employment requirements and regulations.
Experience
* At least 2-3 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources position.
* Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
* Experience in compensation programs preferred.

Physical Requirements
* The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk and kneel; occasionally to climb balance, or stoop; rarely to crouch or crawl.
* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
* Travel between ETS sites is required.
