And we continue to expand into new academic disciplines so more researchers can publish open access.Be part of the publishing revolution and help us transform the way research is published, evaluated, and communicated to the world.Frontiers is looking for an outreach and sales focused Institutional Memberships Specialist.Reporting to the Institutional Memberships Manager, this role will play a crucial role in expanding Frontiers' Institutional Membership Program by establishing and developing collaborations with universities and other research organizations in the US. The role will provide the suitable candidate with an excellent opportunity to work in a thriving and international environment at the forefront of the transition of scientific publishing to Open Access.Responsibilities will include:* Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule* Taking charge of a defined set of prospective member organizations in terms of outreach and reaching an agreement* Generating datasets and basic analyses for proposals* Negotiating terms and handling contractual aspects within defined limits and supported by guidelines* Attending conferences for initiating and developing collaborations* Presenting Frontiers, relevant processes and systems and proposals to representatives of research organizations (usually librarians)* Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call and weekly progress reports plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.* Supporting the Institutional Memberships Manager and Head of Publishing Solutions in tasks related to forming new collaborationsOur office is located in Seattle, however remote working options are available for candidates across Washington state, US.About you:* Target-driven individual with a proven track-record on active and hands-on developing of a strong pipeline of opportunities and building strong institutional relationships* Sales experience in the academic, library, non-profit or government market* Experience in working in scholarly publishing or Open Access and/or in a university library, scholarly communications office or research support role is required* A basic understanding of the research life cycle, from conception to publication is required* Interest in Open Access and/or scholarly communications is requiredBenefitsInternational environmentWith over 50 nationalities across seven locations around the world, we are certainly a diverse company.
