Loan Servicing Specialist - Consumer Lending

Salal Credit Union is looking to add a Loan Servicing Specialist to our Consumer Lending team. This person will be expected to deliver quality service to internal and external members with requests, inquiries, and/or issues in a courteous and professional manner. This position is responsible for accurately supporting functions of the Loan Operations team including servicing loans and accounts in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.

This role is based in our Northgate headquarters office in Seattle, WA. The Consumer Loan Servicing team works a hybrid remote schedule with at least 2 days working from home. All employees are provided with the technology or equipment necessary to perform their day-to-day duties.

The pay for this role starts around $18.10/hour plus benefits, including:

Day to day duties would include:

• Perform loan servicing functions for all loans including HELOCs, lines of credit and auto loans.
• Review appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the Credit Union's lending policies and procedures.
• Track UCC filings and vehicle titles for perfecting lien in a timely manner. Follow-up with Department of Licensing when needed.
• Perform file maintenance on loans including reversing and correcting payments, processing adjustments and late fee waivers.
• Provide accurate payoff and loan verification information to members and other financial institutions for all loans.
• Monitor daily reports for loan file tracking from the branches. Ensure timeliness of funded loans being returned for auditing. Follow up with branch employees and managers when needed.
• Manage GAP claims and Letters of Guarantee on vehicle losses.
• Perform loan recasts when requested or when loan payments are returned and not able to be processed for payment.

Position Qualifications

• 2 years banking/credit union experience required.
• Experience with loans, loan servicing and/or cards preferred.
• Ability to handle high transaction volume accurately. Analytical, research, and problem resolution skills.
