Job description

Our client is seeking to fill a Loan Servicing Specialist role in the Seattle, WA market. The successful candidate will be responsible for loan servicing tasks to support the loan servicing department and field calls from credit union members related to their loans. The candidate will have an extensive background in loan servicing and review including loan accounting, escrow analysis, lien perfection/release, collateral perfection, per diem, payoffs, bank audit, regulatory exams, etc.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $65K and an excellent benefits package.

Loan Servicing Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Servicing commercial, mortgage, business, and other types of loans as required.
  • Providing analytical support to Customer Service Manager and the AVP of Loan Servicing.
  • Ensuring timely payment of taxes, insurance, mortgage insurance, and other escrow disbursements of loans serviced.
  • Administering tasks related to escrow accounts, including the disposition of incoming notifications regarding taxes and insurance.
  • Accurately process and update insurance information.
  • Board loans to Core system including CRE and C&I.
  • Monitoring delinquent taxes and force-placed insurance.
  • Researching member service questions and providing resolutions to the customer and team members as appropriate.
  • Meeting quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics.
  • Assisting in escrow analysis research.
  • Issuing payoff statements, accepting payments, and posting daily payments as necessary.
  • Preparing and recording lien releases for paid-in-full loans.

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years in loan servicing.
  • Experience with CRE, C&I, and SBA loan processing.
  • SBA Knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, LaserPro, FIS, and Fiserv.
  • Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and take actions based on established policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Skilled at identifying efficiencies and organize/document procedures.
