As the Operations Manager you are responsible for leading the daily operations of the Fleet team. You will also be managing the development and implementation of end-to-end fleet lifecycle strategies while also maintaining optimal fleet availability levels across multiple metros. You will provide leadership and guidance to Team Members and handle escalated operational issues to provide a positive experience to our members. Additionally, use sound business judgment to resolve service, operational, and technology issues as well as overall team performance.
Essential Functions:
- Service Venture and Members:
Lead the best-in-class operations and provide solutions for improving operational efficiency - Lead procurement:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all supply and service vendors relevant to operations - Manage inventory:
Direct the inventory management of assets related to the assigned venture - Optimize:
Use data to maximize asset utilization rate - Develop playbook:
Set a culture that reflects "continuous process improvement," and develop a localized operations playbook for your venture. Contribute as needed to the A3 playbook for pilot and launch plan approach to future venture launches
Additional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the hiring, transferring, promoting or terminating of team members
- Execute and delegate daily/weekly workload to deliver on operational goals and metrics
- Reinforce and monitor all goals and expectations holding team members accountable to expectations
- Implement and lead onboarding and training to help close knowledge and skill gaps amongst the team
- Provide technical expertise and is considered a subject matter expert
- Ensure team members are kept up to date on all new procedures and policies while also remaining compliant with the prompt completion of all LMS courses
- Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; Leads the team to work in the same way
- Proactively analyze fleet related data to manage and continuously improve fleet operations for optimal financial and operational performance, vehicle uptime, member survey scores and other key metrics
- Create and monitor vendor relationships. Negotiating and monitoring the length and substance of contracts. Stay up to date on new technologies. Maintain contact with current vendors and reaching out to new vendors. Supervise and direct the work of assigned occupational/leased employees.
- Act as an escalation point for vehicle troubleshooting and vehicle technology failures
- Provide support as needed in other areas of the organization, such as Member Care
- Provide member quality, satisfaction, support, service, and reward, resulting in member loyalty.
Education & Experience
:
- Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- 5+ years of operations leadership experience (preferred)
- Vendor negotiation and contract development experience (preferred)
