The Merchandising Business Analyst role partners with the senior leadership of a Merchandising division to drive growth and profitability of that business. Merchandising Analysts provide data and analytics to identify and react to current and future business trends and opportunities. Consistent data provided by the Business Analyst helps Merchandising leadership to make decisions and changes within the business. They support the merchants and vendors with assortment plans & inventory forecasts. This position works cross functionally with other departments across the organization, including within Merchandising, Strategy, Marketing, and Tech.

Your Impact

  • Provides historical data and analysis of trends on event, brand, category and vendor performance
  • Provides historical data and analysis of key financial metrics and kpi"s to support informed decision making for the merch teams
  • Provides recommendations to Merchandising leadership team based on analysis
  • Forecasting and analysis of inventory levels and reorders through platform with various suppliers
  • Facilitates assortment planning with key suppliers and merchants
  • Ensures data integrity and consistency


What You Bring
  • 3+ years in finance or analytics related field is required
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel with emphasis on pivot and data tables
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or Google analytics
  • Comfort and experience retrieving and manipulating raw data from various databases for analytical work and reporting
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to own initiatives, willing to work independently, and on a team as needed, cross-functionally and within department
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
