With a foundation in computer vision, algorithms, mapping, and Artificial Intelligence, TuSimple is working to create the first global commercially viable Autonomous Freight Network.Opportunity OverviewTuSimple's Product Quality Engineer forms the assigned project level interface between the customer and engineering for quality related subjects and leads and steers the quality landscape of Risks, Issues and Problems for assigned projects.In this role, you will also control oversight and steer activities at program level related to APQP, PPAP & Problem solving. You will ensure achievement of all quality related milestones and deliverables to meet program / project objectives.Join us and be a part of excellence!Role ResponsibilitiesLeading product quality activities, data & schedule for assigned projectsAssessing program / project risks and proactively driving mitigation plansPartnering with Engineering to define product acceptance plans based on Product Requirement Documents (PRD's) and Product Quality Plans (APQP) for flow down to internal build locations and partner organizationsProviding Quality team's risk assessment as the advocate for the customer experience in programs and projects at a across functional team levelAnalyzing field feedback reports, data and information on product performance to provide insights and direction to development teams that help key product and process decision makingForms the independent unbiased communication channel and link from field quality and customer experience to engineering, development and problem resolution ownersFormulates actions plans to address top risk, issues and problems that are quantifiable and measurableDrives continual product performance improvement through robust issue and problem managementDefining, monitoring and owning product Quality KPIs and metricsSupports Change Control Board: Impact analysis and approvalsReviews engineering release quality: Compatibility and completenessExperience & Skills RequiredBachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.3-5 years relevant industry experienceSix Sigma Green belt qualificationsNPD / NPI Process frameworks: Automotive/AerospaceExperience managing product and customer experience quality at a cross functional levelExperience in problem solving in fast paced, complex start up environmentsStrong analytical skills; Comfortable working with large amounts of dataProblem Solving: (8D) / SCAR/ RTV processesHigh attention to detailAbility to work in a highly ambiguous environment across multiple locationsCustomer focused mindsetExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to manage multiple responsibilities.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.Exceptional communication skillsIndependent / Self StartingPunctual and reliableGood working ethic and team playerEager to learn / growTeam management & coordination skillsTuSimple Benefits100% employer-paid healthcare premiums for you and your familyBreakfast, lunch, and dinner served every dayFull kitchens on every floor with unlimited snacks, drinks, special treats, fruits, meals, and moreGym membership reimbursementMonthly team building budgetLearning/education budgetEmployer-paid life insuranceEmployer-paid long and short disabilityTuSimple is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
