Overview:
*YGS is currently offering a "New Hire $600 Sign-On Cash Incentive"!
As of October 6th new Full-time and Part-time employees will receive a $600 bonus, which will be paid in one lump sum, after working 120 hours.

SUMMARY
Directs and oversees program development, operations, and delivery of program area(s) to the membership and community. Position will have oversight and responsibilities in the areas of youth and adult sports, family programing including youth and teens, family events and childcare.
YMCA of Greater Seattle will comply with all WA state mandates regarding COVID vaccinations. All YGS staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID regardless of work location. Religious and Medical Exemptions will be considered at time of hire.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Directs and manages the development, operations and growth of assigned program area(s)
Develops and manages the budgets related to the position. Meets fiscal objectives. Closely monitors revenue and expense.
Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates and supervises assigned staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Provides development and leadership.
Compiles program statistics and provides data and reports as required for assigned program(s). Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program(s).
Provides leadership and support for branch management team, annual fund raising campaign, and volunteer committees/boards as assigned.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and agencies related to assigned programs.
Develops, produces and distributes program information necessary to promote assigned programs in accordance with branch marketing plans.
Ensures that safety procedures are followed and that all programs are in compliance with YMCA standards, all regulations and other applicable standards.
Ensures high quality programs through innovative program development evaluations and on going training of staff.
Ensures upkeep of related facilities and equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are both weekdays and weekends with varying hours. Some evening work will be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Five or more years of related experience including staff and volunteer supervision, community program development, financial management and fundraising.
Youth and Adult Sports: Knowledge of youth and adult sports programming and best practices, including experience with league development and supervision.
Family Programs and Family Events: Knowledge of family support principles and best practices for family involvement.
Youth & Teen Programs: Knowledge of youth and teen programmatic principles and best practices.
Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
CPR and First Aid certifications required.
Knowledge of and experience with child behavior management and child abuse prevention.
Ability to visit multiple sites and community organizations.
Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
Community Programs: Broad knowledge of assigned program areas, which can include any area below as well as youth sports, day camp, parent-child programs, etc.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in program area or related field or equivalent education/experience.
Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
Ability to speak any language in addition to English.
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
