The Project Manager/Property Condition Assessor will enjoy the challenge of working on multiple building assessment projects throughout their assigned region (and in some cases beyond) for a variety of property types. You will utilize your expertise in construction/engineering to assess the structural and mechanical condition all types of building structures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct Property Condition Assessments, commercial energy usage assessments, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
  • Conduct/Direct field assessment activities and work alongside our team of engineers and environmental professionals, subcontractors, and clients
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities for projects
  • Write and review detailed building condition reports, energy audits and other technical assessment reports
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities for projects
  • Make employee safety a priority both in-house and on-site, in accordance with corporate policy
  • Prepare and implement Health and Safety Plans for the site where require

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong technical report writing skills
  • Ability/willingness for frequent regional travel with some national travel for field work (valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required)
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and handle multiple priorities and can perform exceptionally under fast-paced conditions
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to walk job sites during inspections, sometimes on uneven terrain, climbing of ladders to access and evaluate roofing conditions and roof-mounted equipment
  • Ability to carry field testing equipment (up to 30 pounds) onto job sites occasionally

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience within the industry
  • 4+ years of professional construction and/or building-related experience
  • Successful work experience in the execution of Property Condition Assessments following ASTM E2018 protocols; Energy Auditing Services and development of energy conservation measures. Environmental Assessment experience is a plus
  • Mechanical systems evaluation experience a plus
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of CAD a plus
  • PE or RA registration a plus
  • OSHA-10 or -30 certification required as part of job, training will be provided as needed
  • Health & Safety Certification pursuant to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER 40 Hour) is not required but would be beneficial
