Job description

In this role you will be part of the EG Loyalty team and play a meaningful role in advancing Loyalty focused analytics capabilities. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering analytical insights, reports, and experimentation of loyalty data, for our global partners and clients.

You will be responsible for discovering insights, modeling forecasts and finding opportunities through the use of statistical data, visualization techniques and data mining for the loyalty platform with strong focus on customer lifecycle, acquisition, retention, ageing, etc. that help improve customer stickiness with the brands. Your role will include collaborating with internal partners and transverse teams to analyze forecast variances, understanding and mitigating variance drivers (maybe SOX), finding opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, and delivering against high organizational standards performance indicators.

This is a high impact and visibility role with meaningful interaction with senior leadership and with goals that directly impact the bottom line of Expedia business. Your key focus areas shall be to deliver quantitative analysis, decision support, and reporting artifacts on a broad range of topics within the Loyalty domain. This requires the ability to identify the appropriate data sources, assess their usefulness, consolidate the required attributes, and derive meaningful information and insights. The focus goes beyond creating reports and pulling data - it is to tackle complex business problems, assess ROI on features built and compare against key performance indicators and become a trusted business advisor to a variety of multi-functional BI consumers.

What You'll Do:

  • Synthesize business scenarios into meaningful and measurable Analytics and Reporting requirements
  • Deliver accurate and impactful analysis based on solid understanding of data sources and business needs, including economic, financial, and statistical analysis
  • Translate business questions into analytic hypotheses, data needs, and reporting requirements
  • Develop reliable analytical reports and analytical models to estimate the impact of different scenarios, assisting in the business decision making process
  • Define data collection requirements (attributes, format, structure) and represent them during the data warehouse and software engineering projects
  • Clearly and concisely present strategic recommendations; develop compelling and data driven presentations for both internal and external customers
  • Design, develop, and maintain compelling, accurate, and reliable analytical reports
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Business teams to identify, evaluate and drive key initiatives through quantitative analysis
  • Work closely with data teams to build and improve the foundation for BI reporting


Who You Are:

  • Passionate about improving business outcomes through data and analytics solutions
  • Detail oriented and capable of delivering data analysis with high level of accuracy
  • Experience in reporting and analytics, including experience with large data set processing and Data Warehousing
  • Able to extract data from multiple data sources and combine them into required datasets for analytics and model development
  • Ability to independently diagnose the data and datamining with focus on defining the report and identifying data sources
  • Experience in experimentation with data forecasting exercises (BI and DS)
  • Deep knowledge of analytical and data visualization tools, including Tableau, Qlikview, etc.
  • Solid practical experience with relational databases and proven expertise in SQL and other programming languages (R, Python)
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud technology is preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business/technology field or related field; or equivalent related professional experience
