Job Description
Looking for a great career opportunity where you can change the world? The Senior Development Coordinator position at the JDRF Pacific NW Chapter & Seattle Guild provides just such an opportunity! This motivated individual will support the success of The Seattle Guild's iconic Dream Gala as well as other Guild related activities including the annual Golf Tournament. She or he will organize, implement, and expand a variety of development activities that build links to Seattle Guild volunteers and donors. The Senior Development Coordinator will help grow the Guild's revenue through corporate, individual, volunteer, and other community involvement.
Responsibilities:
- Supports and maintains the Vision, Mission, priorities, and guiding principles of JDRF.
- Provides support for The Seattle Guild's community development activities such as fundraising, relationship building, events, corporate partnership development and volunteer development.
- Performs duties for fundraising activities that include event logistics, auction solicitation & procurement and social media planning and implementation.
- Works in collaboration with Chapter and Guild staff to manage volunteer inquiries
- Identifies, builds, and stewards relationships with community, civic and corporate leaders as an integral part of volunteer and donor engagement.
- Ensures timely and accurate daily usage of our CRM database to document activities with donors and volunteers.
- Engages with JDRF constituents, volunteers and staff in a professional, customer focused manner consistent with the JDRF Core Values of being passionate, innovative, collaborative, respectful, trustworthy, appreciative, and results-oriented.
Qualifications
- Event planning and/or fundraising experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be a self-starter while also being collaborative, a quick learner and an amazing team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Active listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), databases and office equipment.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures as well as ability to develop presentations, reports, and business correspondence.
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and an 'all hands-on deck' demeanor.
- Ability to travel within the chapter footprint required. Occasional evening and weekend work required as needed.
- Associate level degree required. Bachelor level degree preferred.
