**Overview**
We are seeking a Senior. Director, Customer Solutions - Metabolic Disease and Biomarkers is for one of our clients, an integrated laboratory services Contract Research Organization (CRO) offering solutions from Discovery to Development/Clinical and through Commercialization based in Seattle, WA. In this role, the candidate will report to the Senior Vice President, Business Development (SVP). The candidate will support the SVP in developing, leading and managing commercial opportunities for Metabolic Disease service offerings. The selected individual will be part of the North American commercial team and will conduct business development activities for the assigned territory/service line while also training and nurturing a territory-based customer solutions team. Candidates must be able to both drive short-term sales and establish long-term mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
**Responsibilities**
+ Source, close and support business deals for existing and future s clients through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and influencers
+ Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets within the Metabolic Disease service line
+ Train, develop, motivate and support a matrix of territory commercial teammates; Recruit as needed to grow team
+ Implement corporate sales and marketing plans
+ Identify leads, assess the value of new business/product opportunities and close deals
+ Positively interact with internal colleagues to ensure opportunities are qualified and complete solutions are scoped, priced and scheduled appropriately to ensure successful long-term client relationships
+ Represent the company and its business interests at the highest levels with key Pharma & Biotech stakeholders, decision makers and key opinion leaders
+ Demonstrate expertise in Metabolic Disease area service offerings; Understand relationship with other integrated service offerings; training as needed to fill in any technical gaps
+ Create clear and measurable objectives and effectively manage service line projects to deliver a high-quality work product in a timely fashion (meet deadlines)
+ Ability to assess client needs and craft recommendations through effective written and oral presentations
+ Ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial environment, making informed but quick decisions, and driving results through hands-on implementation
+ Ability to travel to clients, prospects, industry conferences and site locations as needed
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum BSc, MSc or PhD, in a Life Sciences discipline or equivalent experience
+ At least 8 years proven successful sales experience in similar services; prior technical and sales management experience preferred
+ Superior and demonstrated account management and successful track-record in selling to life science clients
+ Demonstrated sales ability coupled with rigorous sales planning and ability to execute an agreed sales strategy
+ Demonstrates a broad understanding of laboratory services enabling drug discovery, development and commercialization; deeper knowledge in immunology, bioanalytical, biomarker and related services preferred
+ Demonstrates expertise in market-specific environments like market specific trends, regulatory frameworks and legal boundaries, competitive landscapes, influential trade & networking societies, etc.
+ Competitive, curious and fearless attitude with high integrity
+ Self-driven critical thinker with a creative problem-solving mindset
+ Comfortable in high-complexity and technical sales situations and willing to take on customer's challenges and maximally leverage company's offerings to address customer's needs
+ Demonstrated network within Metabolic Disease space, specifically decision-makers in large pharma, biotech and venture capitalists
+ Analytical skills; ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and produce reports and documents to support sales arguments
