Job description
The Sr Financial Analyst will play a key role in leveraging Darigold assets by understanding, executing, and communicating constraints and opportunities to key stakeholders for Darigold's manufacturing operations. This role will have responsibility of preparing and analyzing monthly and yearly financial data that is that is used to make business decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ( other duties may be assigned ):
- Prepares and delivers timely, accurate and consistent management reporting.
- Take a lead role in collaborating with Controllers and Operations to improve operational reporting and analysis.
- Drive reporting efficiency by developing and maintaining systematic and sustainable financial models and tools for use in weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
- Leverage Plant Finance and Operations to research manufacturing variances and provide relevant and timely commentary.
- Integral resource in the development of budget and forecasting processes, including developing new sophisticated and integrated budgeting and forecasting tools for use by Plant Controllers and Cost Accounting, including developing related training documentation.
- The ability to articulate, provide insight and present data in logical and linear manner enabling a clear and relevant representation that drive can management decisions.
- Lead and/or assist in the preparation of studies, reports and analyses in areas such as strategic projects, budgets, forecasts, financial plans and business forecasts.
- Prepare Power Point presentations for Operations reporting (monthly results, budgets, forecasts, etc.).
- Utilize existing systems (Oracle OPM, OBIEE, and GL Wand) to mine data and analyze complex financial information.
- Explain financial results/information to non-financial groups and individuals.
- Lead Authorized Fixed Expenditure tracking approval process.
- Perform ad-hoc research as needed.

- Strong interpersonal skills capable of starting and maintaining new relationships across many facets of the business.
- Team player with the ability to facilitate cross functional collaboration.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and best practices for analyzing manufacturing costs, trends and reporting.
- Excellent organization, communication, math and writing skills
- Self-starter, strong critical thinking skills, able to connect dots quickly
- Ability to travel 15%
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years in finance or equivalent role
- Manufacturing experience is essential, dairy ingredient experience and basic dairy manufacturing knowledge/experience is highly preferred.
- Project management with examples of success
- Highly proficient in excel, gathering, analyzing, and reporting out data
