The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial reporting and analysis for their SSC Partners. This includes the production of recurring reports, tracking of key financial data and analysis of business strategies for the company. This position mines, analyzes, and reports data for a variety of business managers and executives. Also, this position identifies opportunities to analyze the business and pursues those opportunities with general supervision. The Associate may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor's advance approval.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for the executive team regarding many aspects of the company's performance and is typically used to manage the business and act as a liaison between Financial Planning and Analysis and other internal partners.
- Develop and produce detailed analyses regarding store portfolio optimization to drive long-term real estate strategy
- Interact with key leaders to understand long term strategic initiatives and model their impact in the long-term financial plan
- Design and analyze tests of new initiatives to understand potential implementation impact by utilizing testing software to perform statistical analysis against control groups
- Partner with marketing to improve effectiveness of marketing efforts and increase brand value, attribute ROI and leverage loyalty program
- Assist with the implementation & completion of the annual budgets. Work with various departments to incorporate information into the budget
- Perform budget and forecast to actual variance analysis, investigation and commentary for the executive team and business leaders
- Seek continuous improvements for all processes on FP&A team by sharing best practices with other FP&A team members at every level
- Perform cost/benefit and sales promotions analyses including the use of ROIC, IRR, and ROI valuations.
- Perform trend analysis and build models to analyze the business.
- Work collaboratively with others within and outside of his or her function to achieve goals, simplify processes, reduce costs, prevent loss, and to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Respond to data requests from several departments, leveraging a working knowledge of internal systems.
- Dissect business issues, analyze root cause and provide possible solutions in a simple yet compelling manner to internal customers and upper management

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor's degree in an accredited Finance or Business program required
- At least 2 years of accounting or finance analysis experience required
- Experience with Hyperion and/or Cognos preferred
- Experience with accounting software preferred

- Expert knowledge of Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient knowledge of data management tools including Hyperion Enterprise.
