As a Sr. Finance Manager, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, will be used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you will be focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

This role will report to the VP Finance for Product and Engineering, and will have a high level of visibility throughout the finance and leadership teams. The person in this role will support the complex financial needs of Compass's Product and Engineering teams. This role provides analytical and direct business support including strategic planning, financial results and KPI analysis, and ad hoc operational support. This role involves coordination across multiple business units and the ideal candidate must be comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast paced environment. Specifically, this role will be instrumental in developing an ROI based valuation methodology and framework to help assess value in development of new features and products in support of our customers (the agents).
At Compass You Will
- Understand Compass business model and drivers of value - and connect the development of Products and Features on the Compass platform to drivers of value.
- Create and update in-depth financial valuation models and analysis to support key business decisions.
- Design datasets to support valuation models so that decisions are grounded in actionable data and can be used to make informed decisions.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders, FP&A, and Corporate Development teams to help identify risks/opportunities and trajectories to plan & forecast.
- The ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics, and communicate results effectively.
- 8 - 10 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, or FP&A.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Must be able to build dynamic and intuitive financial models in both Excel and Google Sheets and eventually design software to manage the models.
- Ability to self-start and work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Positive attitude with a service-oriented, business-partnering approach
- Humble team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support partner to the operating team.
- MBA or equivalent degree in a business or quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, or economics preferred.
