Job summary
We are looking for a senior program manager who will be responsible for creating and building on an existing project management framework, developing change management and communications tools and mechanisms to be used across the AWS Talent Acquisition (TA) function as we work to continuously improve our recruiting delivery model on a global scale. This role is responsible for deliverables that increase TA's capability to attract and engage with millions of candidates around the world and sits as a part of the AWS TA Technology and Process Strategy team. Our team is embedded within the TA organization, using the levers of process and technology to help our recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates get connected to opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
You will focus on creating tools, mechanisms, and processes to enable program managers engaged in technology deployments, process transformation efforts, process quality improvement initiatives, and recruiting delivery model experiments across the global AWS TA organization. You will be the steward of AWS TA's project management framework, change management tools and mechanisms, and process and technology change communications strategies.

A day in the life
You will work closely with technology and process program managers on the team, as well as recruiting leaders, recruiters, and hiring leaders in the AWS business to deploy and communicate new processes, transform existing workflows, and experiment with ways to best engage millions of candidates every year. You'll be a trusted resource for AWS TA delivery teams and the business, and will be a key member of a team of innovative program managers to extend impact across the org. You'll be empowered to think big and exercise bold ownership over your solutions.

About the team
The AWS TA Tech & Process Strategy team is an enablement partner with the AWS Talent Acquisition business, using the pillars of process and technology to help the team hire tens of thousands of AWS builders every year.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in program or project management
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with project management methodologies, tools and mechanisms
• Experience working in a global role with stakeholders from multiple regions
• PMP, Prince2, or other project management certification
• Successful record of building, improving and running operational business processes globally, ability to drive program effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
• Well-honed analytical skills, comfortable working with data and developing insights from it, experience establishing and tracking program metrics, and experience with experimental design
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations
• Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, and assuming leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
• Six Sigma training or certification or similar
