Amazon Web Services (AWS) is taking action on sustainability, and helping our customers do the same. We are looking for a self-motivated, high-judgment business analyst who will support the AWS Sustainability Business Development team. As a Sustainability Business Analyst, you will be joining a team of sustainability leaders working to help AWS customers accelerate their sustainability efforts. Your activities will include consolidating various data sources, performing data analysis, developing models to quantify trends, and summarizing data-driven insights through reporting and visualization.

In this role, you will:
• Collaborate with sustainability teams across AWS to understand their business problems and propose impactful analytical solutions.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for the AWS Sustainability Business Development team and its business partners to streamline data collection processes, enhance the quality of the data, and invent new ways to monitor our customers' sustainability needs.
• Provide requirements to data engineers and other teams responsible for building and maintaining data sources.
• Create user friendly, repeatable reporting solutions to minimize ad hoc customer requests.

This is a rare opportunity to expand your knowledge of the sustainability realm, and make a concrete contribution to the important work being done in sustainability by AWS and our customers.

What we are looking for:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Process oriented with strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities; an excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Experience combining and structuring structured and unstructured data

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in program or project management
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of experience with Amazon
• 5+ years of experience as a data analyst
• 2+ years working in the sustainability domain, such as carbon emissions tracking, renewable energy, policy, or sustainability reporting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MS degree in a technical discipline, MBA, or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
• Experience creating and managing scalable business processes
• Program management experience
• 1+ years of expertise defining SQL queries
• 3+ years of advanced Microsoft Excel skills
