Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for ensuring that Plug Power has the talent needed to deliver on business objectives. The Recruiter utilizes innovative sourcing techniques and develops relationships through networking to build a strong pipeline of talent specifically focused on advancing our energy solutions business unit. Responsible for sourcing, identifying, and qualifying talent such as hydrogen technicians, operators, and CDL drivers to fill multiple roles within the unit. This position is key to creating a positive candidate experience from application through on-boarding. The ideal candidate for this role is someone thoroughly familiar with recruiting best practices and the tools and technology available to create strong talent pipelines and relationships; and possesses an unyielding commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging. This individual must have outstanding interpersonal communication skills, judgment, and be self-motivated in order to handle multiple competing priorities at once. The ideal recruiter will be ready and willing to adapt to change within a fast-paced, growing organization.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
* Build relationships to further the acquisition of talent within Plug Power; from candidate, to hiring managers and external partners.
* Utilize innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to identify and attract the right talent, for the right position, as the right time.
* Maintain and promote DOT compliance during recruitment and hiring process
* Generate leads and review driver applications to find new pipeline of drivers
* Build applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media / internet sites etc.; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; maintaining the rapport and connection. Partner with external recruiters where appropriate.
* Take a lead role in the development of job descriptions and candidate ads to attract the competencies and skill sets needed for organizational success now and in the future.
* Review resumes ascertaining potential candidate match to targeted position and organizational requirements.
* Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
* Conduct effective candidate phone/video screening and recommend candidates for panel interviews.
* Drive the interview process through leadership/facilitation of interview team selection & preparation.
* Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate interviews as well as debrief selection meetings as appropriate.
* Build relationships with managers and develop effective recruitment strategies by understanding their needs and expectations.
* Coordinate communications and logistics between business function and Talent Acquisition to ensure a positive candidate and client experience.
* Monitor open position status and progress, suggesting alternative sourcing techniques when necessary.
* Leverage technology to manage the entirety of the process from pipeline building, to communication and reporting of metrics.
* Identify and participate in appropriate job fairs and campus recruitment opportunities.
* Remain current on all related employment law.
* Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.
* Approach all work activities with a customer service focus being mindful of HR as a service department in support of the organization
* Perform all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
* Associates degree or relevant experience
* 3+ years Recruitment and sourcing experience required; technical or transportation/ supply chain industry experience preferred
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a fast paced, changing environment
* Must have excellent organization skills and attention to detail
* Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels
* Strong technical capabilities including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and on-line search & candidate sourcing techniques
* Experience with HRIS or Applicant Tracking systems; Workday experience a plus

* Exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week.
