Position Summary

The Manager, People Support's ("PSM") responsibilities include providing a high level of Human Resources support and experience to the Anesthesia service line's business and clinical colleagues.

This position will span the full range of Human Resources functions to create a high functioning and tightly aligned team and provide a consistent presence that strongly demonstrates our core values. This position will be a key business partner and a critical communicator of all change initiatives, policy and procedures, performance management and colleague relations matters.

Position also should be seen as a consistent presence that strongly demonstrates our core values and the primary contact person, for regional leaders with majority of the PS related activities. This position will be responsible for coordinating onboarding and off boarding activities with necessary departments to ensure a respectable experience for all colleagues. This position will also be the primary data entry person for HRIS for all colleague information, benefit enrollments and status changes. Position is also responsible for administration of leaves of absence, STD/LTD claims, worker's compensation, assists with terminations and exit process, including exit interviews. Key success criteria will include providing excellent customer service to all colleagues and work to create positive impressions of Sound Physicians and building trust and respect of the regional leadership team as a competent business partner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all colleagues; assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Fosters the development of a strong team culture and high colleague engagement in this service line and within the People Support team.
  • Process all leave requests in accordance with federal and state laws. Maintain list, notify colleague and collect benefit premiums due from colleagues on leave.
  • Maintains on-boarding workflow.
  • Process new hire files: paperwork reconciliation, data entry into applicable systems, benefit enrollment notification.
  • Process terminations: contract reconciliation if applicable.
  • Process status, title and salary changes.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Works with managers and leaders across the service line and organization on employee relations counseling and employee performance concerns.

Education
  • A bachelor's degree and five (5) years HR experience OR equivalent work experience
