Kelly Science is looking for a great candidate to join department. Great opportunity to test metabolites, biomarkers, and other samples for analysis.
Analytical Specialist supports the laboratory needs to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical equipment such as LC-MS/MS, Beckman Chemistry Analyzers, DYNEX DSX ELISA Processing System, and ICP-MS in a fast paced environment under the supervision of the Department Manager and Technical Supervisor.
- Other related tasks include preparing samples used for assay development and validation, organizing materials and paperwork for research projects, and perform experiments.
- In addition, the responsibilities include for equipment validation and processing clinical samples accurately and efficiently using laboratory equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing assigned laboratory tasks for projects, equipment validations, assay optimizations, and assistance with method development.
- Assignments will be in collaboration with the department Technical Supervisor and Manager.
- Projects may require the exercise of technical discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments.
- Makes detailed observations, analyzes data and interprets results.
- Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
- Has an understanding and/or application of fundamental principles, theories, and concepts in the area of responsibility.
- Prepare reagents and supplies for experiments.
- Maintain the lab space, including cleaning, inventories.
- Maintain the highest standards of good laboratory practice GLP.
- Projects require the ability to read and understand relevant scientific literature.
- Other duties as assigned could be to help assist in production assays when needed.
- Interact with other sections/divisions and support on routine matters Clinical sample testing.

- Contribute to the team research environment in a manner conducive to the success of the research project as a whole.
- Production clinical sample analysis
- Collects, prepares and evaluates patient specimens for analysis and perform technical procedures with accuracy and precision, meeting the standards of all accrediting/regulatory agencies in a timely manner
- Operate laboratory instruments and equipment and perform equipment maintenance according to the laboratory s standard operating procedures
- Recognizes unusual patient results and identifies problems in analytical procedures/systems; responds with appropriate investigation and/or corrective action
- Troubleshoots assays and equipment which fail to perform adequately
- Observes established safety guidelines and maintains cleanliness of the laboratory
- Keep a meticulous and organized record of specimens, tests, instrument logs, and technical analyses
- Maintain stringent standards for quality, identifying any issues which might adversely impact the quality of test results and/or employee safety, and communicating these to the appropriate management representatives as necessary for resolution
- Participates in activities required to support all necessary licensure for the clinical laboratory, including quality management functions and on-site inspections of the laboratory.
- Responsible for maintaining updated understanding and knowledge of the methods employed in the laboratory and the use of the resulting information by physicians through continuing education activities.
- Consult with management and personnel on better operational procedures to improve overall efficiency and product yields.
- Accurately document and maintain all records for equipment and instruments Support the administrative functions of the lab as required
- All other reasonable duties, as assigned.
