We want to hear from you. We are looking for a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our new and growing department. The right candidate will be committed to supporting employees and leaders, have knowledge of Oregon and Washington employment regulations, will work collaboratively within the HR realm to help attract and retain the best-in-class talent, and serve as a resource for employees on all things related to the "employee experience." Employment Type: Full-Time, M-F Location: Compass Business Office (Vancouver, Washington); Hybrid Role Possibility Responsibilities Provides front-line HR support and consultation to managers and staff on human resource programs, policies and HR-related activities to include employee onboarding; employee relations; performance management; dispute resolution; compliance and integrity; policies and procedures administration in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. Administers the Leave of Absence program in accordance with current regulations, policies, and procedures. Support team members by determining eligibility, maintaining regular communication, retrieving appropriate documentation, and facilitating the Return-to-Work process. Function as the local subject matter expert on employee benefit programs and activities. Coordinates the welcoming and onboarding of new employees, which includes the completion of required documents, review of benefits, insurance. Develops and implements employee engagement initiatives and activities. Coordinates employee recognition events and programs. Investigates employee relation issues; identifies issues, facts, policy violations, and other culture/values that impact the workplace; and recommends solutions and how to obtain resolution. Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and writes executive overview. Manages the employee engagement survey, summarizes findings, and facilitates follow-up and action items meetings. May perform work force analysis and recommendations on a variety of HR issues. Provide HR support to the Compass Safety Committee and Employee Safety initiatives. Provide HR support to the Compass Employee Wellness Program and activities. Qualifications Education: BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field; or a combination or education and relevant experience. Experience/Training: Minimum of (3-5) years of Human Resources experience, health care experience preferred. Solid knowledge of employment law, policies, and practices as well as benefits, leave of absences, compensation principles, and recruiting practices. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel. Workday experience highly desired. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Impeccable teamwork and customer service mindset. Must be able to efficiently prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy. Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Ability to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, solid judgment, maturity, personal integrity, and confidentiality. It may sound cliché, but it is true.
