Job description

The Yakima Herald-Republic and the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin, a part of the Seattle Times company, is searching for a Sr. Director of Advertising to lead our media sales efforts and increase revenue across our multiple product lines including digital, magazine and print advertising. The Sr Director of Advertising is the senior sales director on the Affiliate Newspaper sales team and works with other senior sales leaders in Yakima and Walla Walla to enhance and refine sales strategy and tactics. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales leader with strong coaching and mentoring abilities.

In this position, the selected candidate will: Work with the Sr Director of Affiliates and other sales leaders to strategize, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results; with the ability to pivot quickly based on need and dataSupport the development of goals and operating proceduresTrain, develop, and manage direct reportsOversight and reporting on the sales processAbility to understand our competitors, articulate our unique differentiators and build competitive programsWork with sales leadership at our parent company, the Seattle Times to build synergies across the company Qualified candidates should have at least 5-7 years of experience leading both inside and outside B2B sales teams.
