Position Title Aviation Recruiter/Dispatcher Banner Position Number 002573 E-Class NC - Nonclassified - .53 or > Department Aviation Program - MU2006 Job Description

This position is located at the Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia.

The Recruiter/Dispatcher will work in a cross-functional team to provide student recruitment and flight dispatch support to students and staff in the Marshall University Bill Noe Flight School. The position will serve as an integral part of the flight school operations team and is responsible for performing all assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy as required by federal regulatory agencies. The position will also play a key role in recruitment and retention efforts by developing relevant materials and processes, measuring the success of those initiatives and implement changes as needed.

Essential Duties:

Administrative Duties:

1. Prepare letters, reports and other marketing/promotional materials in support of conducting outreach activities for prospective students.

2. Schedule students, instructors, and aircraft to meet flight training requirements.

3. Assist with authorization, regulation and general control of all flight school training flights.

4. Ensure all relevant business transactions are conducted and documented with a high degree of accuracy as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

5. Operate and maintain office machinery, including copiers, fax machines, and printers.

6. Maintain student training records with confidentiality and compliance with federal aviation regulatory requirements.

7. Coordinate dispatch for departure and arrival flight training sessions.

8. Direct contact staff with students and parents to recruit future flight training students.

9. Responsible for creation and distribution of resource materials for student recruitment and retention programs for the flight school.

10. Responsible for the analysis of trends in recruitment and retention programs; develops strategies for program evaluation and improvement.

11. Prepares reports and proposals, and responds to inquiries from students.

12. Work collaboratively with flight instructors and flight school administration to identify and manage potential issues and recommend/implement solutions.

13. Create and record entries into various records management systems and databases as required by federal regulatory agencies.

Accounting Duties:

1. Obtain state purchasing card and reconcile as needed.

2. Purchase supplies for staff and office, as well as stationary items from MU Printing Services as needed.

3. Process encumbrances and requisitions.

4. Provide fiscal and operational analytical support to flight school administration and prepare various reports to communicate information.

Required Education

High School Diploma.

Required Experience

Two years experience in a related field.

Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office..

Knowledge of applicable federal regulations.

Proficient in English.

Be comfortable speaking with students, parents and staff.

Be available full-time.

Preferred Education

Associates Degree.

Preferred Experience

Two to three years experience in a related field.

Experience using Banner.
