Summary

The Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) supervisor is to direct the day to day activities of all HVAC equipment of the Ashley Arcadia campus. This position will coordinate preventative maintenance and emergency response to keep all equipment functioning properly. Continuous improvement recommendations are expected to improve efficiency and equipment.

Responsibilities

Schedule, coordinate, and supervise HVAC personnel to complete the PM schedule in a timely manner.

Assign reactive work orders to get faulty equipment back to a proper functioning state.

Determine needs to repair or replace equipment as necessary.

Ability to troubleshoot, test, or repair HVAC equipment. Teach techniques to staff.

Hold (or ability to earn) and maintain refrigerant and boiler certifications as required.

Enforce safety rules and training for staff.

Team player requiring minimal supervision.

Ability to cover shifts for vacationing or absent employees.

Make employment decisions including hiring, improvement plans, corrective action, terminations, pay adjustments, and promotions.

Manage employee performance and assist in making improvements through reviews and coaching.

Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.
