WHO WE ARE

With 3,850 seats and a grandstand containing concessions and clubhouse for events, ABC Supply Stadium will feature Geronimo Hospitality Group's creative and award-winning food and beverage options for all Beloit Sky Carp home games as well as for public and private events.

WHO YOU ARE

The Assistant General Manager oversees and coordinates the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in guest service and satisfaction, sales, costs, employee retention, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist with hiring, firing, discipline, scheduling, payroll, inventory and other managerial duties as assigned.
  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
  • Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
  • Ensure all concession and premium seating areas have proper displays and merchandise
  • Oversee the Catering/Banquet operations for all non-game day events.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Geronimo Hospitality Group recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
  • Achieve stadium food and beverage objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with stadium policies and procedures.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the stadiums preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the stadiums receiving policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and ensure that policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
  • Be knowledgeable of stadium operations policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the stadium, employees and guests.
  • Provide advice and suggestions to General Manager as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

WHAT WE NEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

Education High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years' experience in front-of-house or back-of house operations preferably in the sports and entertainment environment.

Experience and/or Training
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least 3 years of front-of-house/back-of-house operations and/or assistant management positions.
  • Possess basic math skills and computer skills.
  • Have the ability to operate a POS system.

Licenses/Certificates
  • Operator's License
  • Food Manager Certification

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position may require occasional lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds.
