Position Overview:
We're a leading global fitness company seeking a talented, passionate UX designer to join our internal marketing team. Under the direction of the user experience manager, the UX designer is responsible for leading and collaborating with cross-function teams on designs from concept to launch. You should have a strong command in UI/UX design principles and practices, with a portfolio to prove it.
You will create intuitive, engaging design solutions for a broad range of user experiences, including websites (mobile /responsive), product user interfaces and/or other digital initiatives, and all points in-between (wireframes, flows, mockups, and visual prototypes)

Responsibilities:
Design Process:
- Develops best-in-class digital experiences for the user experience group
- Present user experience concepts and workflows clearly and convincingly
- Ability to collaborate with interactive designers, front-end web developers to concept & produce final designs
Digital:
- Works with developers and creative director to determine appropriate workflows
- Lead/provide IA documentation for all digital experiences
- Works with marketing managers, digital product managers and development teams to produce effective content for our global brand websites, digital interfaces, and marketing campaigns
Project Management:
- Project management responsibilities including planning, evaluating, organizing, and integrating projects
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Assist marketing team as needed in overseeing projects and project management
Develop Industry Knowledge and Network:
- Stays up to date on industry trends and styles
- Involved with peers in professional development, classes, or associations
- Strives to constantly improve skill sets, interaction design best practices, etc.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Complete special projects as required
- Assist in the development/education of UI/UX best practices
Project Management and Leadership Functions:
- Engages in the typical responsibilities of planning, evaluating, organizing, and integrating a project
- Encourages other designers, project managers, copywriters, and marketing managers to provide accurate content to support interactive workflow
- 3-5 years professional UX experience at an interactive firm, design studio, in-house marketing department, advertising agency, or similar organization
- Solid user centered design process experience with a knack for wireframing, prototyping, testing/iteration, and development planning
- Proven ability to design compelling experiences for websites (mobile /responsive), product user interfaces and/or other digital initiatives
- Careful attention to detail and a solid understanding of user centered design principles
- Competent with Adobe Creative Suite and experience with interface prototyping tools/methods
- Solid understanding of the capabilities and constraints of platforms (web, smartphones, tablets), browsers, HTML, and JavaScript
- A portfolio which demonstrates very strong UX planning as well as visual design skills
Other Requirements:
- Mac based: basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong command of Adobe Design Suite, Axure, Adobe XD or similar prototyping tools
- HTML/CSS skills/knowledge/parameters are a definite plus
- Occasional domestic travel may be required
Skills:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills/attributes:
- Design and create conceptual models, flows, sitemaps, and navigation schemes
- Product GUI design (graphic user interface)
- Experience in developing effective and impactful wireframes, use cases, site maps, flow diagrams and taxonomy
- Knowledge of business, technology and design strategies, tools, techniques, and trends
- The flexibility to adjust to changes in project priorities
- The ability to help define success metrics
Ideally, you also possess:
- Experience in designing with/for Bootstrap front-end frameworks
- Strong visual design skills
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Agile experience

Designers must have accurate vision and have the ability to discriminate subtle visual information.
Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate. The employee can at times be exposed to hazardous gasses and solvents as with mounting spray and modeling glues of various types. The employee can be at times exposed to hazardous gasses emitted from the welding and fabricating processes. They are also exposed to the risks associated with using: razor knives, cutting or sheering equipment, sanders, paint equipment, woodworking equipment. The employee occasionally performs work-related travel.
