Position Summary

The Quality Specialist - Batch Auditor position is responsible for ensuring final compliance to food safety and quality standards prior to batch disposition. The primary requirement of this position includes the review of batch records, the administration of the Net Contents system, Good Documentation and Non-Conforming Reports system. Coaching to effective implementation of quality standards. Participating in risk analysis for production issues, investigations, HACCP, and providing audit support when needed. The position supports quality activities related to the production and product release for a business unit produced in accordance with government regulations and Nestle standards in the cost-effective manner.

We have 2 openings, 1 position will be 8 hours M-F and 1 position will be a 12-hour position 6am-6pm on a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality control activities - Execute positive release for Business unit product. Conducting preliminary (including 24 hour review of CCPs and OPRPs) and final audits of batch records, facilitating paperwork corrections and completions, maintaining communication to supply chain, and preparing batch files for final disposition. Perform final positive release of all non-exceptional finished product batches.

• Quality guardianship - Notify appropriate production personnel/management of deviations, non-conformances and blocked product.

• People and know-how - Support the teams in the achievement of their objectives. Contribute to the development of competence of operators including but not limited to plant systems of Net Contents and Good Documentation. Promote quality awareness and commitment to quality across the unit through effective coaching of the QMS and quality standards.

• Quality System - Support and update of quality procedures, instructions and tools for the Business unit. Contribute to and follow-up on quality KPIs. Support operational objectives in collaboration with the Factory Quality Manager. Support the revision of forms/SOPs as necessary.

• Quality Mastership - Support Nestle Continuous Excellence program in the quest for zero defect. Support activities to achieve compliance with Nestle Quality Management System requirements and other applicable instructions and standards. Identifying non-conformance issues and participating in risk analysis of production issue, investigations, non-conformances and HACCP to recommend proper disposition of associated product.

• Quality auditing and verification - Support Business Unit readiness for internal and external audits. Support Management of Change (MOC) implementation as needed.

Safety and Environmental:
• Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets
• Follow the plant safety rules; report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately
• Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.

Experience and Education Requirements:
• University graduate (preferred microbiology, chemistry or food science) or equivalent work experience
• Experience within the Business unit (production, maintenance) or within Quality (Quality specialist)
