Job description

HR GENERALIST
Responsible for general Human Resources Administration in the areas of Benefits, Employee Relations, Staffing, Special Projects, and Events with the Human Resource Office. The HR Generalist will work with Benefits to administer and maintain compliance, employee education and communication of benefit plans offered through St. Luke Benefit & Insurance Services Corp. to the Curia Staff and outlying employers within the Diocese of Green Bay. The HR Generalist will work with Employee Relations in such areas as reviewing and processing background checks, conducting employee relations investigation and providing follow-up, and administration of our Safety Program and Workers Comp. The HR Generalist will also work with Staffing in areas to include advertising of positions, phone screening of applicants, initial interviews, and conducting new hire orientations. The HR Generalist will also be assigned special projects and assist with coordinating events.

Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required.
· Prior HRIS and/or self-insurance experience a plus.
· Valid driver's license is required.
· Precise detail orientation is business critical; must possess impeccable attention to detail
· Exercise sound judgment especially in data security and privacy in communication/distribution
· Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

PREFERRED:
· Prior experience in human resources and/or benefit administration.
