Whisker is seeking a Buyer to join our team in the purchasing and supply chain management of all production and shipping pass-through related materials. The Buyer will lead the purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, supplier management functions for their assigned supply base, under the direction of our Director of Supply Chain.

The Buyer will lead the purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, supplier management functions for their assigned supply base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain a material plan by using historical data and future forecasts
* Place orders and monitor delivery timing to ensure delivery when needed
* Maintain adequate inventory levels of assigned material by monitoring and replenishing
* Assist in the cycle count process and other inventory validation processes
* Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal customers to maintain strong working relationships
* Make daily inventory typer transactions within SAP Business 1 MRP system
* Participate in company efforts to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
* Work with Operations and Quality to resolve supply related issues
* Hands on participation in fact finding and issue resolution

Requirements & Qualifications
* BA in related field or equivalent work experience in purchasing
* Experience in supplier relationship development and management
* Strong Knowledge of MS Excel, SAP Business 1
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Must be detail-oriented and organized
* Skilled in data analysis presenting of data
* Ability to perform critical thinking and problem solving in a fast paced environment
