Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Compensation Minimum:$109,000. Compensation Maximum:$191,000. Summary: The Investment Business Systems Lead plays an integral part in leading the technology strategy & execution across American Family Insurance (AMFAM) Investments. This role will ensure all IT initiatives are aligned to the Investment business goals and meet the enterprise standards and best practices. The individual will have responsibility for managing the Investments IT priorities and budgets. The position will foster collaboration across Investments, Accounting, Business Lines, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Services, and Treasury. Job Description: Primary Accountabilities Investments Technology Strategy & Planning (50%): Lead Investment technology strategic and operational planning to achieve investment business goals by fostering innovation and prioritizing IT initiatives. Coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT capabilities across the Investment organization. Develop and maintain an appropriate IT Investment functional structure that supports the needs of the business. Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments. Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating budget. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Direct development and execution of an Investment disaster recovery and business continuity plan. Leverage Investment industry standards and best practices as appropriate to maintain a competitive advantage. Insure the Investment operating platform is scalable to meet current and future needs of the existing business and agile to adapt to and integrate new opportunities. Investments Operational Management (50%): Prioritize and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of Investment information systems. Define and communicate plans, policies, and standards for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT Investment systems. Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance. Keep current with trends and issues in the IT Investment industry, including current technologies. Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including vendors and partner organizations. Responsible for developing and overseeing an implementation methodology including analysis, design, development, testing, integration and deployment to production. Identify hardware, desktop and network requirements in support of Investments. Manage vendor relationships and delivery of vendor services. Ensure IT solutions are meeting audit, internal controls and regulatory requirements. Responsible for system interfaces and management reporting. Oversight of Investments help desk. Lead, mentor and develop an Investment IT support team. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service. Ability to manage vendors. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and resolve conflicts. Demonstrated experience in project management and implementation of new technologies, technology operations, programming, telecommunications, disaster/contingency planning and testing and systems application and support. Experience in implementing and supporting trading solutions. Experience in implementing and supporting performance, attribution and risk solutions. Experience in leading IT / business solutions team in meeting investment reporting needs. Experience in managing resources in a matrix environment. Experience in the implementing and supporting investment data management solutions. Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management. Experience working and leading a technical business solutions team with a proven record of success. Knowledge of securities industry data entities: fixed income, equities, private equity, funds, commercial real estate mortgages, derivatives, trades, counterparties, etc. Proven ability in managing and developing people: Additional Job Information: Experience with Bloomberg, Blackrock or other common investment systems a big plus. Other tools and technologies include: Python. MS Office/Windows. AWS/Cloud. Programming/scripting. Data management/ETL.
