**Job Description:**

The **Buyer Planner** is responsible for developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity. This individual is responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans. The Buyer Planner may also be responsible for providing materials to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules and for the appropriate shipping of finished goods to various distribution centers utilizing material handling equipment in support of management policies for customer delivery and inventory levels.

+ Understand and execute Oracle ERP system to create, issue and schedule purchase orders for raw material-based Kanban signals to ensure inventory levels, inventory dollars and turns meet the company OTD goals

+ Participate in Kanban system whether in Dynamic Kanban events to 'right-size' inventory or through weekly Kanban audits

+ Manage new suppliers, new revisions or new products to minimize stock-outs and obsolescent inventory

+ Process NCR (Non-Conforming Material Requests) for manufactured parts and give timely updates to suppliers with material issues through the Corrective Action process

+ Ensure compliance with FDA Quality Systems Requirements (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO regulatory requirements

+ Other duties as assigned

**Job Requirements:**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Procurement or related field is preferred; we will consider a minimum 5 years of relevant experience within purchasing or supply chain in lieu of a degree

+ Must be willing to travel up to 15% Domestic

+ Proficient in MS Office Products including MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookup, etc.)

+ Experience with an (ERP) Enterprise Resource Planning Systems; Oracle is a plus

**Preferred Requirements:**

+ Understanding of Lean principles

+ Understanding of Kanban

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Excellent time management skills

+ Experience working in an FDA or other highly regulated environment is a plus
