As an Assistant Manager you will assist with helping customers - giving you the opportunity to make a difference.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Coordinate the flow of information from the customers to sell, process, and deliver fresh product
v Develop the establishing of new accounts and maintain existing customer accounts
v Assist manager in purchasing fresh products and recommendations for new fresh products
v Assist in processing fresh vendor credits and organizing vendor paperwork
v Assist in maintaining and completing inventory counts
v Attend trade shows and design shows as required
v Promote online sales, program sales, and seasonal products
v Identify problems and merchandising opportunities
v Make customer visits when required
v Maximize productivity, minimize overtime expenses and other additional costs through report
v Understand and utilize Tecsys, Komet, and Microsoft Suite
v Assist in overseeing and initiating emergency procedures, maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with corporate policy
v Insure proper cleanliness of building, especially customer traffic areas
v Organize and establish communication with employee, set goals and objectives
Follow proper invoicing procedures, post bulletins, complete reports
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
v Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to customers
v Ability to communicate effectively
v Ability to read and analyze reports
v High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
v Ability to plan, organize, and complete own work assignments without close supervision
v Ability to work in a team and improve efficiency by delegating tasks to appropriate staff
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
v Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
v Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
v Bachelor's Degree
v 2-5 years in Floral Industry of related field
v Proficient in Microsoft Suite
v Fresh cut purchasing within the florist industry experience is a huge plus
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Follow Safe and proper procedures in the course of daily work
v Perform opening and closing duties as appropriate
v Arrive on time and demonstrate effective time management
v Other duties as assigned, including tasks which support the essential functions and may be changed or redesigned
v Comply with applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,615.00 - $110,560.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
