Branch Manager
Reports to: Regional Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Branch Manager is responsible for the development of sales and profitability within our business concentrating on the aftermarket service and repair of all brands of industrial hoists and cranes.
This is a demanding, 'hands-on', entrepreneurial position that requires a person with the ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of management and sales-oriented activities. It is a fast paced, growth oriented environment. A great amount of interaction is required.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, Manage and hold/be Accountable (LMA).

- Excellent computer skills

CRANE 1
Branch Manager Role & Responsibilities
The Branch Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of a branch/service center. Primary responsibility is to meet all sales growth and profit (EBITDA) objectives. Is an active participant of the company's management team meetings and responsible for keeping the executive management team abreast of activities and issues.
- Responsible for supporting sales effort of the existing sales staff as per the customer's life cycle " The Crane 1 Advantage" concept. The primary focus is to sustain consistent performance in new inspection agreements, sales activities and insure adequate sales efforts are being conducted in all service market areas on new account activities.
- Review and direct the pricing policies and direct margin levels for all service activities as needed. Ensure Crane 1 objectives for direct margin, by product, are established. Responsible for insuring the quotation levels are sufficient for any new contracts, or customers, to sustain the required minimums monthly.
- Responsible for generating the sales required to meet the budgeted sales, by product's, and overseeing the process of service sales and follow ups from inspections.
- Participation in production meetings to review status of the business weekly. Specific areas / jobs of concern to be addressed for evaluation and recourse to meet customer expectations / delivery, CRANE 1 targeted margins and month end sales forecast.
- Develop and mentor the existing service center resources in customer follow up, customer calls, closing techniques and general presentation skills.
- Responsible for administering the target marketing programs and determining sales strategies at specific accounts.
- Responsible for overseeing, collecting and reporting the key account activity reports from the sales personnel regularly and reporting as requested or required.
- Responsible for ensuring the service operations are providing quality services and adhering to current policies.
- Participate in the renewal of inspection agreements after sufficient efforts have been made by the inspectors and/or inspection supervisor, NDB or the territory manager. A monthly report on the renewal status, new agreements, no of units, etc., is to be received from the inspection supervisor (where present) or compiled by the branch manager as required or requested.R
- Responsible for hiring and termination decisions of service center personnel in consultation with the Human Resources Manager, Regional Manager & VP of Operations.

- Responsible for interviewing potential new technician's candidates in cooperation with the human resources manager. Expected to maintain an active list of potential new hires and keep abreast of the manpower requirements and future employment needs in each area.R
- Recommend final decisions regarding billing issues, questionable warranty or goodwill issues to the regional manager as per CRANE 1 guidelines.
- Responsible for the completion of the required paperwork on all orders and ensuring all branch/service center personnel are held responsible. (The person who closes the order is the one who should fill out the basic information for processing). All forms must be completed accurately and completely.
- Responsible for overseeing the resolution of all customer complaints to the satisfaction of the customer and in the best interest of CRANE 1.
- Participate in annual and strategic business development issues.
- Provide market and competitive information periodically.
- Responsible for resolving credit or billing problems in the branch.
