Job description

The purpose of this role is to create and maintain a data infrastructure that connects customer information between our front and back-office systems and maintain that infrastructure as the environment and our strategy continually shift.


Making an Impact


• Define the customer as it relates to what is reflected in our systems, as these definitions result in staff compensation/incentives, as well as how our financials are reported.


• Develop and maintain a data infrastructure that connects customer information in the front and back office


• Maintain customer hierarchies as the environment and strategy change


• Review and apply pertinent benchmarking studies and reports to our client portfolio definitions; provide value added analyses and summaries


Sharing Expertise


• Identify downstream impacts of customer definitions, and present pros and cons of the options, facilitating decisions between the Data & Analytics and Finance teams.


Gaining Exposure


• Connect with Sales team to understand 'customers' from their lens


• Connect with Finance team to understand how they aggregate customers and associate the revenue they create.


Your Typical Day


• 40% spent researching data and system updates


• 40% spent with sales team asking q's to understand the client and explaining why things are the way they are


• 20% spent with finance to ensure they understand how to plug it into their system.


Other accountabilities as assigned


Required


• Bachelor's degree


• 2 years of work experience in a professional setting


• 2 years' experience translating business objective into a business process, and/or updating existing processes to align to business objectives.


Nice to Have


• Ability to identify downstream impacts of data within the systems
